The truth is, you may add a bird/bat box to your backyard and end up with a Glider or a possum or some other species living in it. For me personally, providing a home for any creature is a good thing.

I found bat droppings in one of the boxes whilst it was still in my workshop waiting for me to find somewhere to store it. Admittedly the bats didn't move in, but they were certainly checking it out. If there's an opportunity they will investigate.
