Microbat box - The Nugget.

A premium quality box built with two skins of new Merbau timber which regulates the inner box temperature so the bats don't abandon ship due to overheating from sunlight during the day, a common issue with a lot of bird/bat box's on the market. You can see the gap between the inner box and the outer box in some of the photos, which also doubles as entry points for the bats. Once in the gap the bats can only enter the inner chamber from the underside of the inner box. There are 3 separate roosting chambers within the inner box.

I always recommend NOT to paint bird/bat box's with any type of wood preserver, paint or oil products as birds and bats prefer a natural look and can be deterred by the smell of preservers regardless of whether they are organic products or not. Eventually the box will turn grey from weathering but this will only improve the likely hood of attracting bats to the box.
