Bird box - Design 3.

A bird box with temperature control features. Double skinned walls with an air gap in between, a box within a box so to speak. This regulates the temperature of the inside box which decreases the likelihood of the resident birds to abandon the nest due to overheating.

A metal roof overtop a second timber roof also helps keep direct sunlight off. An additional temperature control feature.

Most standard construction bird box's fail due to the box (nest) overheating, forcing the birds to abandon the box.

Made from new untreated Australian hardwood.

Internal and external metal ladders are provided to assist the birds to climb in and out.
