This is a little piece of mother natures finest handy work. Two stones entrapped within a trees roots.
My contribution to the artwork was a little bit of elbow grease (Actually quite a lot) to clean it up, make the mounting board and fit the root to the mounting board. Finished off with a coat of decking oil. Furry feet are added to the underside to protect your floor coverings.
Free delivery within my local area however because this is a reasonably delicate piece I would think postage would not be an option. You are more than welcome to visit my workshop though to view the piece firsthand, and should you like it you can take it home with you. There's your excuse to visit the lovely Tweed Valley, you won't regret visiting here one bit.

If you'd like to know the story behind this magnificent piece of timber, read on.
The tree root was delivered to my property courtesy of the floods from ex Cyclone Debbie back in March 2017. As I was cleaning up my paddocks on the banks of the Rous River, I literally stumbled over this root. What a beauty I thought, then I placed it in my shed for safe keeping. I knew one day I'd decide what to do with it, and as spare room in my shed became an issue I was sort of forced to deal with it. I would dearly love to keep it for my own home but I only have a small house which is already bursting at the seams with other items I have made. So it has to go.
