Picnic Table - Hardwood & Metal

A simply beautiful picnic table. Spacious seating for 4 adults, but can fit 6 people if need be.

Constructed to last, the steel frame is hot dip galvanised. If you want to know what hot dip galvanising is read the description in the last paragraph.

The timber top and seats are made from fully reclaimed hardwood and are finished with at least 2 coats of water based decking oil applied before assembly to ensure every part of the timber is covered, including all the bits you can't see. The timber I use is complete with knot holes and nail holes as per photos. Every table is unique.

All bolts and screws used for construction are galvanised to ensure longevity.

Overall Table footprint is 1800mm long x 1800mm wide. 

Table top is 1800mm long x 1000mm wide and is 760mm above ground level.

Seats are 1800mm long x 300mm wide each side and are 450mm above ground level.

Weight - Can be moved by two very strong people.

Hot dip Galvanising - Description.

Items that are classed as being "hot dip galvanised" are usually made from raw untreated steel (Black steel is the terminology). Once constructed the item is then fully immersed (Dipped) in a pool of boiling hot galvanizing solution (Zinc) and then hung up to dry. Hence the name "Hot Dip Galvanised" (HDG). This ensures that every part of every component gets treated, with a thick skin of galvanizing. The key to a successful galvanizing treatment is that once treated no holes or cuts are to be made on the finished item. Items that have been Hot Dip Galvanised will last a long, long time.
